RALEIGH, N.C. — The NC State baseball and softball teams will join forces Wednesday for a fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
That will take place at 4:30 p.m. at Amedeo’s Restaurant on Western Boulevard. The baseball team will be there from 4:30 until about 5:15, when they will depart for Doak Field at Dail Park and to play a scrimmage game against the USA 18-and-under national team.
The softball team will be on hand at Amedeos to sign autographs and meet with fans, from 6 to 8 p.m., along with other personalities from the NC State athletics department.
Fans can donate to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for a chance to win one-of-a-kind NC State sports memorabilia. The first 25 people in attendance will receive a door prize plus a ticket good for the event’s prize drawings. Tickets will be on sale to the public for $1 apiece.
For those who dine at Amedeo’s during Wednesday's fundraiser, 15 percent of their bill will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
