Men's Soccer Draws with Richmond, 1-1

Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State men's soccer team tied Richmond, 1-1, Saturday night at Dail Soccer Field. The Spiders (0-3-1) jumped out to a first half lead, but the Pack (2-1-2) answered in the second half but could not come up with an eventual gamewinner.
Richmond struck first in 33rd minute. Sophomore Luis Perez took a hard shot from about 20 yards out that keeper Fabian Ottegot his hands too, but the ball ended up rolling into the net at the 32:37 mark.
NC State would tie the game in the 64th minute. Sophomore Gbenga Makinde played a long ball from the back, that bounced around and found freshman Monbo Bokar. Bokar took a quick touch, and slid a ball into the box to freshman Ollie Kellywho found the back of the net at the 63:52 mark.
Neither team could find another goal in regulation or overtime, and ended in a 1-1 tie after 110 minutes of action.
NC State controlled the flow of the game, and out shot the Spiders 20-8. NC State's Fabian Ottehad one save while Richmond's Thomas Hand finished with seven saves in the spiders net.
NC State will start ACC play next weekend, as the Pack travels to #2 Maryland Friday night.
