Iyevbele Competes at Junior Pan-Am Championships

NC State 800-meter record holder Kenyetta Iyevbele of Charlotte will compete Saturday at the Pan American Junior Athletics Championships in Miramar, Fla.
Iyevbele, who won first-team All-America honors with her seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championships in early June, will run with seven others in the 800-meter run at 6:05 p.m. Saturday at the Ansin Sports Complex.
Iyevbele earned her way to the meet by winning the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Seattle with a time of 2:06.37 on June 24.
Iyevbele set the NC State school record of 2:04.83 in the NCAA semifinals in Des Moines, Iowa, two weeks earlier.
