RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State freshman Albin Choi has been named to the Golfweek honorable mention All-America team. The Toronto, Ontario, native was also listed on the five-man All-Freshman team.
One of the top first-year golfers in the nation, Choi's list of accolades continues to grow with this latest honor from Golfweek.
Choi was unanimously named ACC Freshman of the Year after leading the conference in scoring average (71.5). He notched a pair of victories in the fall, and had seven top-10's and 10 top-20 finishes in 2010-11.
He was named to the All-Freshman Team by the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation in early June, and was tabbed for the Division I PING All-Region team in late May.
Choi also landed on the All-ACC team to go with his freshman of the year award.
