Divers Headed to NCAA Zones

RALEIGH, N.C. -
All four NC State divers will compete at the 2011 NCAA Zone B Diving Meet, March 10-12, at Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Ga. Chris Arcara, Hannah Hopkins, Hudson Rains and Kirstyn Shepler, all sophomores, will represent the Wolfpack at the meet.

The top nine overall finishers will advance to the NCAA Championships. The women's championships will be in Austin, Texas, March 17-19, while the men's will run March 24-26 in Minneapolis, Minn.
Arcara and Rains will both see action on the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, while Shepler will dive the 1-meter and platform. Hopkins will partake on the 3-meter and platform dives.
Rains is the leading scorer in all three men's diving events this season, while Shepler has recorded the top mark on the 1-meter dive. Hopkins has posted the highest marks to date on both the 3-meter and platform dives, having qualified for zones on all three dives.

Thursday, March 10
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. : Men's 1-meter prelims
1:15 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. : Men's 1-meter finals
3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. : Women's 3-meter prelims
5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. : Women's 3-meter finals
Friday, March 11
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. : Women's 1-meter prelims
