Remainder of Combat Classic Washed Out

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The remaining games in the 2011 Tennessee Tech Combat Classic have been cancelled, tournament officials announced tonight.

Thanks to nearly an inch of rain in the Cookeville, Tenn. area, Tech Softball Field remains unfit for competition.

NC State was scheduled to take on Belmont at 10 a.m. and Samford at noon on Sunday, March 6 in the Combat Classic. Those games, however, will be canceled.

The Pack returns to action on Thursday, March 10 for the squad's home opener against Memphis at 1 p.m.

Following that matchup, NC State will host the 2011 Wolfpack Challenge March 11-13 at Curtis and Jacqueline Dail Softball Stadium. Play begins for the Pack Friday, March 11 at 2:30 p.m. against Stony Brook.
