Men's Swimming Headed to ACC Championships

The NC State men’s swimming team will compete at the ACC Championships in Atlanta, Ga., Feb. 23-26, at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.
A complete list of events and times, as well as live webcasts and results, will be available throughout the competition via ACC Swimming & Diving Championships Central.
The Wolfpack men posted a 6-3 (3-3 ACC) record in the regular season, grabbing conference victories over Maryland, Duke and Georgia Tech.
Ivan Kopas (100 backstroke, 200 backstroke), Barrett Miesfeld (100 butterfly), and Ian Bishop (100 breaststroke) all posted new top-10 school marks this season.
Brandon Kingston was named ACC Performer of the Week on Feb. 1 after winning a combined five individual events in a single week in separate meets against North Carolina and Old Dominion. Kingston owns top-10 marks in the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 1650 freestyle.
Dan Forsythe holds the school record in the 100 breaststroke, while seven other members of the team own top-10 school marks.
In relay action, the Pack has already hit NCAA ‘B’ cut qualifying standards in both the 200-freestyle relay and 800-freestyle relay. Gaites Brown owns a share of the school record 800-freestyle relay that was set in 2009.
