Pack Highlights Updated ITA Rankings

RALEIGH, N.C. --- NC State women’s tennis earned 39th-place in the latest ITA national rankings, announced Monday, February 14. 

The Wolfpack’s Sanaa Bhambri figured prominently in the rankings, jumping nine spots to 23rd-nationally after navigating the last month undefeated in singles play and notching a victory over previously 10th-ranked Danielle Lao of USC.

Bhambri also garnered a seventh-place national ranking in doubles alongside partner Sandhya Nagaraj, maintaining their position from January 4.

Nagaraj fell 26 places to 76th after going 2-1, suffering her only loss of the spring to the current national #1 Maria Sanchez of USC.

NC State heads back to the courts Saturday, February 19, to take on BYU in Minneapolis, Minn. beginning at 1 p.m.
