Diving Continues at USA Nationals

KNOXVILLE, TENN. -- Three Wolfpack divers competed at the USA Diving Winter National Championships and World Cup Trials on Friday. Hudson Rains and Ryan Smith competed in the preliminaries of the three-meter springboard, while Hannah Hopkins dove in the prelims of the one-meter event.
In the men's three-meter springboard, Rains placed 23rd in the event, while Smith finished 35th. Neither advanced to the next round.
Hopkins placed 24th in the women's one-meter springboard, and just missed qualifying for the quarterfinals.
Rains qualified for the quarterfinals in the one-meter event on Thursday. He will compete on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 4 p.m. The finals of the event will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
