Wolfpack to Host Duke, SCAD

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State swimming and diving will return to action Saturday, Nov. 5, against the Savannah College of Art and Design and Duke University. Swimming events will be held at 11 a.m. at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center in Raleigh, N.C., while the diving competition will take place at the Taishoff Aquatic Pavillion in Durham, N.C., at 10:30 a.m.
The Wolfpack is coming off of a mid-week sweep of the East Carolina Pirates. The men’s swimming and diving team currently stand at 2-1 (1-1 ACC), while the women have a record of 2-2 (0-2 ACC).
NC State’s men own 10 top-five marks in the conference so far this year. Sophomore Barrett Miesfeld currently leads the ACC in the 100 butterfly. Fellow sophomore Jonathan Boffa has two top-three marks to his name, while junior Brandon Kingston and sophomore Jake Matysek each have one.
For the women, Julianna Prim and Marifrances Henley have the third and fourth fastest times, respectively, in the ACC in the 200 freestyle. Henley also has the fifth best mark in the 500 freestyle.
Following action on Saturday, NC State will return to the pool next Saturday, Nov. 12, for a meet against the College of Charleston. The Pack women will also face Campbell. Action will begin at 2 p.m.
