RALEIGH, N.C. - Two NC State men's golf alums have made it to the final qualifying stage of PGA TOUR Q School.
Marc Turnesa, who has played on the PGA TOUR since 2008, and Fernando Mechereffe will tee it up Nov. 30-Dec. 5 at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif.
Depending on how they fair during the final stage, each player will receive either their playing card for the PGA Tour or the Nationwide Tour.
Meanwhile, three other alums, Brandon Detweiler, Matt Hill and Justin Walters, have made it to the second stage of Q school for the European Tour.
An estimated 310 players, spread over four courses in Spain, will play 72 holes between Dec. 2-5 for the right to make the Final Stage - a six-round examination at PGA Catalunya Resort in Girona, Spain.
