Swimming and Diving Sweeps ECU

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Wolfpack men and women both picked up wins against the Pirates on Wednesday. The men's swimming and diving team defeated ECU 132-104, while the women won with a score of 137-106.
The men move to 2-1 on the year (1-1 ACC), while the women are now 2-2 (0-2 ACC).
The NC State men took first place in all but three events. The Pack was led by Hudson Rains, who won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.
The Wolfpack Women finished first a total of nine times. Marifrances Henley won the 1,000 freestyle in a time of 10:09.49, the fastest time on the team this year. NC State, led by Juliana Prim, took three of the top four places in the 200 freestyle. Prim swam a 1:51.53 for first place, followed by Shelby Hoyt in third (1:53.64) and Allison Hendren in fourth (1:55.08).
The Pack will return to action Saturday against Duke and the Savannah College of Art and Design. Swimming events will take place at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center in Raleigh, N.C. at 11 a.m. The diving competition will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion in Durham, N.C.
