Diving Concludes Weekend at Nike Cup

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The NC State diving team wrapped up competition at the Nike Cup Saturday. The Wolfpack had one male and one female diver qualify for the finals.
For the women, junior Hannah Hopkins took fifth place in the one-meter dive with a mark of 279.60. Hopkins concluded a successful weekend, taking second in the platform diving event and fifth in the three-meter competition.
Freshman Ryan Smith placed sixth in the three-meter diving event for the men, in a score of 349.10. Smith placed fifth in the platform dive earlier in the week.
The NC State diving team will return to action Dec. 15 at the USA Diving National Championships in Knoxville, Tenn.
