All 4 Men's Tennis Players Advance at Elon Invitational

BURLINGTON, N.C. - All four of the NC State men's tennis players participating in the first day of action at the Elon Invitational on Friday advanced to Saturday's second round.
Senior Julian Sullivan topped Carlos Lopez-Villa of Old Dominion, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, at the Burlington Tennis Center, advancing to a second match in the A1 bracket on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. against top-seeded Torsten Wietoska of Duke.
Junior Rafael Paez, seeded second in the A1 draw, beat Matthijs Verdam of Georgia Southern, 6-2, 6-4. He will face Stefan Fortmann of host Elon on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
Freshman Beck Bond eased by Niels Cleeren of East Carolina, 6-4, 6-1, in the A2 singles bracket and will face David Clavera of Campbell Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
Junior Will Rollinson advanced over East Carolina's David Masciorini in the B2 singles bracket and will face Andrew Dromsky of Georgia Southern Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Rollinson and Sullivan advanced in their doubles match on Friday, beating Old Dominion's Lopez-Villa and Fahoum Fahoum, 8-2. Bond and Paez fell in doubles play to USC -Upstate's Gonzalo Blanco and Jacob Darling, 9-8.
