Wolfpack Intercollegiate Results
Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State men's golf team finished seventh at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate Tuesday held at the par-71, 7,358-yard Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
Memphis won the 16-team tournament with a score of 9-over 861, two shots in front of UNCG. Louisiana-Lafayette finished third, five shots behind at 866.
UNCG’s Robert Hoadley won the individual title with a 4-under 209 score, edging Jack Belote of Memphis by two strokes. They were the only two golfers in the 89-man field to break par.
NC State, who was playing without injured All-American Mitchell Sutton, shot a final-round 19-over 303, and finished the 54-hole tournament at 35-over 887.
Graham Baillargeon, who played as an individual, wound up the low performer for the Wolfpack, finishing tied for 10th at 3-over 216 (68-72-76). He played well on the par-5's, going 4-under during the event.
Sophomore All-American Albin Choi struggled on the back nine today and finished tied for 16th with a 5-over 77 today and 5-over 218 (72-69-77) for the two-day event. He led the Pack with a team-high 11 birdies.
Wolfpack senior Chad Day finished tied for 25th with an 8-over 221 (75-72-74). The Raleigh native tied for the lead in the field with 40 pars.
Freshman Andrew Decker and senior Mark McMillen, playing as an individual, finished at 10-over 223, and tied for 38th. Decker shot 73-74-76, while McMillen was 76-73-74.
Next up is the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at the Blackthorn Club on Oct. 14-16 in Jonesborough, Tenn.
