RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State swimming and diving will return to action on Friday, Oct. 21, against Maryland. The Wolfpack and Terrapins will get underway at 3 p.m., in College Park, Md.
The meet will mark the second of the season for the Pack, as the men (0-1, 0-1 ACC) fell to Virginia Tech last weekend, while the women (1-1, 0-1 ACC) topped James Madison and also lost to the Hokies.
"We look forward to our competition with Maryland as it is another chance to race, analyze, learn and make adjustments," said head coach Braden Holloway. "Maryland provides a great challenge for us in all areas for each program. We have a chance to race on consecutive weekends and I feel our student-athletes will rise in their development of race strategy.

"Our squad looks to improve this weekend and keep our progression toward conference moving forward."
Last week the Wolfpack squads combined to set three pool records, establish three all-time top-10 school marks, and collect first-place in 13 events. The men posted first place nine times, with Brandon Kingston and Jonathan Boffa each winning two events. State's women took first four times.
Friday will mark the first meet of the season for the Terrapins.
The men's swimming and diving team boasts 25 top-five marks in the conference thus far this year, including four of the top times overall. Boffa owns the top time in the 100 freestyle, while Ian Bishop is first in the 100 breaststroke and Barrett Miesfeld holds the top mark in the 100 butterfly. State has also posted the best showing in the 400-freestyle relay.
The women's program owns 12 top-five marks in the ACC. Kelsey Liu has the top time among all conference swimmers in the 200 breaststroke, as does Zina Grogg in the 100 butterfly. Wolfpack relays has also captured the top time in the 400-freestyle relay.
Following Friday, the Pack will enjoy some down time before returning to action at East Carolina on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 5 p.m.
