RALEIGH, N.C. -
NC State swimming and diving will host No. 12
North Carolina this Thursday, Jan. 27, at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic
Center on campus. Action is slated to begin at 5 p.m.
Free swim caps will also be given out to kids in attendance.
The Wolfpack returns to action after splitting with Clemson on the road
last weekend, as the women won 163.5-136.5 and the men lost 153-145.
Julianna Prim, who was named ACC Performer of the Week two weeks ago, led
the charge by winning the 200 freestyle and posting the sixth-fastest
swim in school history with a 1:50.14 time.
Wolfpack men's relays have hit NCAA "B" cut qualifying standards in both
the 200-freestyle relay and 800-freestyle relay events, while all four
divers - Chris Arcara, Hannah Hopkins, Hudson Rains and Kirstyn Shepler -
have qualified for NCAA diving zones.
The NC State women hold a 6-1 (3-1 ACC) slate, while the men (5-1, 3-1
ACC) lost for the first time against Clemson.

Both the Tar Heel men's and women's squads are ranked 12th in the latest
College Swimming Coaches Association of American top-25 poll after being
swept at UVa last weekend. The men stand at 6-1 (2-1 ACC), while the
 women carry a 5-2 (2-1 ACC) record.
