RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State swimming and diving will return to the pool this Sunday, Jan. 23, to face Clemson. Due to a ruptured pipe at the Tigers' facility, the meet has been moved to Georgia's Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens. Action will begin at 10 a.m., and Clemson will remain the home team.
The Wolfpack resumes action after sweeping Georgia Tech in a thrilling Senior Day meet last Saturday at home. The men (5-0, 3-0 ACC) remain undefeated on the season and are currently receiving votes in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America top-25 poll, while the women carry a strong 5-1 (2-1 ACC) record.
On Monday, Julianna Prim was named ACC Performer of the Week after leading the Pack in its dominating victory over the Yellow Jackets. She won both events she competed in individually - the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle - and swam the final leg on two first-place relays.
NC State men's relays have already hit NCAA "B" cut qualifying standards in both the 200-freestyle relay and 800-freestyle relay events, while all four of the Pack's divers have qualified for NCAA diving zones.
The Clemson men stand at 4-3 (1-2 ACC), and the women carry a 3-4 (1-2 ACC) record, after both fell last weekend at Florida State. The Tiger men are also receiving votes in the latest poll released by the CSCAA.
