RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State swimmer Julianna Prim has been named ACC Performer of the Week as announced by the conference office this morning. A sophomore out of Yadkinville, N.C., Prim is in her first season with the Wolfpack after transferring from Pfieffer University.
Prim led the Pack in a dominating conference victory over Georgia Tech on Saturday, pushing the Wolfpack to 5-1 (2-1 ACC) on the year. She won both events she competed in individually - the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle - and swam the final leg on two first-place relays.
Prim already owns four all-time top-10 swims in school history, including second in the 200 butterfly, sixth in the 100 butterfly, seventh in the 200 freestyle and ninth in the 100 freestyle.
NC State's next meet - against Clemson - has been moved to Sunday Jan. 23 at Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Ga., on the UGA campus due to facility issues at Clemson's pool.
