PGA Field Includes Past NC State Golfers

Former Wolfpackers Tim Clark, Carl Pettersson and Marc Turnesa are scheduled to tee it up this week at the PGA TOUR's Sony Open in Hawaii, the first full-field, open event of the 2011 season.
The tour officially started last week at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii. Pettersson, a four-time PGA TOUR winner, finished in a tie for fourth, while Clark, who won The PLAYERS Championship in 2010, tied for 17th.
Pettersson and Clark are both considered favorites to win this week according to PGATOUR.com
Pettersson has three top 25s in his last six starts in this week's event, including a top-five last year at Waialae Country Club.
Meanwhile, Clark has a pair of top 25s in as many starts at the Sony Open.
Turnesa, who won his first PGA TOUR event in 2008, suffered through an injury riddled 2010 season, but received a major medical exemption for the 2011 tour.
