Wolfpack record holder Ryan Hill led a field of 55 runners to finish first in the 1500 meters today at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta. Hill, who set the school record in that event earlier this outdoor season and has posted the second-fastest time in the east region this year, clocked in at 3:41.93. The meet marked Hill's last before he enters NCAA competition in two weeks.
Geoff King also competed in the 1500 meters for the Wolfpack men, clocking in at 3:52.14 to finish fifth. The only other finisher on the men's side for NC State was Brian Himelright, who finished seventh in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:20.61.
Other members of the men's squad will compete at the North Carolina A&T Invitational on Sunday.
