Hill in Tie for First at ACC Championship

NEW LONDON, N.C. - Defending co-ACC champion, Junior Matt Hill is tied for first place after shooting a three-under par 69 Saturday at the ACC Championship held at the Old North State Club.
Starting the day one stroke behind the leader, Hill collected four birdies and just one lone bogey on hole No. 5 on the day en route do moving into a tie for first at -9 (66-69=135). Hill closed out the round with a bogey-free, three-under par performance on the back-nine.
Georgia Tech's Chesson Hadley moved up from four spots on the leaderboard to tie with Hill in part to his round low six-under par 66 performance.
The Wolfpack as a team shot a four-over par 292 and is tied for seventh place with Maryland and Florida State at +3 (579). The team managed to collect 13 birdies for round. Georgia Tech is in first with a seven-stroke lead at -21 (555) after shooting -12 (276) as a team.
Senior Adam Hogue and freshman Mitch Sutton each shot a two-over par 74 during Saturday's action. Hogue birdied the par-5 No. 4 and finished with three bogies and is tied for 26th at +1 (71-74=145). Sutton collected two birdies but also four bogies during the second round and currently sits tied for 39th at +5 (75-74=149).
Senior Brad Revell and sophomore Mark McMillen each carded a three-over par 75. Revell, tied for 42nd at +6 (75-75=150), had three birdies on the day. McMillen had three birdies for the round and is tied for 46th at +8 (77-75=152).
