RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men’s golf team will compete in the ACC Championship this weekend. The 2010 ACC Championship will be held at the Old North State Club at Uwharrie Point in New London, N.C., for the ninth consecutive year. It is a par 72, 7,100 yard course.
NC State will field the same team it has sent to the past four tournaments: seniors Adam Hogue and Brad Revell, junior Matt Hill, sophomore Mark McMillen, and freshman Mitchell Sutton.
Hill is the defending co-ACC Champion, as Hill tied for the individual title last season as he finished at 10-under (206). As a freshman in 2008, Hill tied for eighth.
The Pack is coming off of a fourth place showing last season, the fourth time they have finished fourth or better in the last six years. NC State will be looking to capture its second ACC Championship of all-time, as the Pack previously brought home top honors in 1990.
The teams will play a total of three rounds, one per day starting on Friday. The competition begins at 8:30 a.m., and the Pack will be in group three with Boston College and Virginia Tech.
Live scoring will be available at golfstat.com, while the theACC.com will provide a webcast on both Saturday and Sunday.
