Henry Wins Shot Put at adidas Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State track and field hosted the first day of the adidas Raleigh Relays on Friday, and Lawanda Henry won the shot put title to lead the women.
Henry hit a distance of 51'07.00" to win the event as she has now won both shot put competitions in the young outdoor season after a win at the 49er Classic last weekend.
Kayla Lawson was second in the high jump, hitting a height of 5'07.00".
Emily Pritt was second in the 5,000m, turning in a strong time of 16:27.42. That time ranks as the fastest in the NCAA coming into this weekend.
Brittany McCain was fifth in the discus with a throw of 148-00.
