Men's Golf Hosts Wolfpack Intercollegiate

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men’s golf team will host the Wolfpack Intercollegiate this Monday and Tuesday, October 4-5 at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course located on NC State’s Centennial Campus.
This tournament will be played for the first time in the fall on the Pack’s new par 71, 7,358 yard home course.
Last spring the Wolfpack Intercollegiate took place in early April. The fall is the new permanent home of the intercollegiate, while NC State will also host the Wolfpack Spring Invitational next April 16-17, 2011.
The tournament will feature 36 holes on the first day and 18 holes on Tuesday. Action begins with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m., and tee times are scheduled for Tuesday morning.
This year’s field features 17 teams, including four ACC schools – NC State, Duke, Maryland and Wake Forest. NC State (16), Wake Forest (18) and Duke (18) are all ranked in the top-20 according to golfstat.com.
The remainder of the field includes, Arkansas-Little Rock, Campbell, East Carolina, Francis Marion, George Mason, Georgia State, Lynn, Memphis, UNC Wilmington, Navy, Rhode Island, VCU and Western Carolina.
