Swimming & Diving to Hold Senior Day on Saturday

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State swimming and diving program will host Clemson tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. at Casey Natatorium on campus. The meet will serve as Senior Day for 15 Wolfpack student-athletes, with a special ceremony to be held at approximately 10:45 a.m.
The meet will mark the last home competition for seniors Nick Brittis, Patrice Dason, Brianna Grover, Alli Hagan, Andrew Keenan, Maresa Like-Mathews, Anna Linkenauger, Travis Martinez, Mason McGee, Sarah Merritt, Chelsea Messinger, Kayla Ricedorf, Taryn Shelley, Jessica Stewart and Kevin Woodhull-Smith.
The Pack returns to action after sweeping East Carolina at home this past Wednesday, with the men winning 151-80, and the women collecting a 145-91 decision. The men own a 4-1 (2-1 ACC) record, and the women stand at 6-1 (2-1 ACC). The Wolfpack women are receiving votes in the latest Division I poll released by the CSCAA.
Linkenauger (400 IM) and McGee (500 freestyle) have both hit NCAA ‘B’ cuts, while Chris Arcara, Hannah Hopkins, Hudson Rains and Kirstyn Shepler have all qualified for the diving zones.
Clemson (men 5-3, 0-3 ACC / women 8-3, 2-2 ACC) returns to the pool after getting swept by Florida State last weekend.
