Swimming & Diving, ECU to Battle on Wednesday

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State swimming and diving will host East Carolina tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Casey Natatorium on campus. Action is slated to begin at 5 p.m.
The Wolfpack women stand at 5-1 (2-1 ACC), while the men’s squad carries a 3-1 (2-1 ACC) record. This past Saturday the women picked up a conference victory on the road at Georgia Tech (184-110) while the men fell (167-131).
Anna Linkenauger, Jen Kopenitz and Marifrances Henley each won three events, while Maresa Like-Mathews swam the third-fastest 200 butterfly in school history. On the men’s side, Brandon Kingston, Conor Brennan and Mason McGee each won two events.
ECU returns to action after splitting with Old Dominion this past weekend, with its women winning (170-130) and the men losing (171-117). The Pirate women are now 8-2 on the year, while the men are 5-2.
NC State will resume conference competition this weekend, hosting Clemson on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 11 a.m.
