No. 52 M. Tennis Defeats NCCU

Raleigh, N.C. - During the second dual match of a double header on Sunday, Jan. 17, the NC State men's tennis team showed no signs of slowing down. The Wolfpack beat North Carolina Central, 0-0.
As with the previous match against Garder-Webb, the Pack took a 1-0 advantage following doubles play. Rob Lowe and Frideric Prandecki played as the No. 1 team, defeating Patrick Olobo and Jack Waissen, 8-4. The No. 2 duo of Dominic Hodgson and Dave Thomson had little trouble beating Trey Chatman and Alejandro Espitia, 8-1. David Chermak paired up with Fernando Banos to win 8-3, over Jose Fabara and Stephen Allsop.
Once singles play began, the Pack continued their dominance. Lowe beat Olobo in straight sets 6-2, 6-3. Hodgson didn't have any signs of fatigue from his match earlier in the day, beating Waissen, 6-3, 6-1. D. Thomson notched another victory with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Fabara.
Rafael Paez already seems to be getting comfortble in Raleigh, as he beat Espitia 6-2, 6-1 for his second win of the day. Banos continued his stellar play with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Chatman. Prandecki also swept his opponent, Allsop, 6-0, 6-0.
The Pack's next match will be on Friday, Jan. 22 at 4:00 pm against No. 55 Vanderbilt.
