Major, Jones Strong at VT Invite

BLACKSBURG, Va. - Freshman Ben Major won the 200m in only his second meet with NC State men's track and field, turning in a 21.56 at the second day of the VT Invite. Jason Jones was third in the shot put with a 55'03.00".
Other top-10 finishes include A'Tolani Akinkuotu in the 200m (ninth; 22.46), Shawn Murray in the 400m (eighth; 50.01), Eric Davis (ninth; 6'04.75) in the high jump and Emmanuel Davis (eighth; 22'09.00") in the long jump.
Kwame Boatwright was 12th in the high jump, Garrett Jackson was 13th in the 800m and Austin Jackson was 14th in the 400m.
