Former Golfer Mulroy Makes PGA Debut

Raleigh, N.C. - Former NC State men's golfer, Garth Mulroy, will be making his debut as a PGA Tour professional this weekend at the Sony Open in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Mulroy is one of 25 Nationwide Tour members that was awarded a PGA Tour card after last season's results. Mulroy finished tied for 21st in the rankings and 14th on the money list for the Nationwide Tour.
During the 2009 season, Mulroy won the South Georgia Classic, shooting a 13-under (275). He finished in the top-five in three other events and the top-25 10 times.
While at NC State, Mulroy was an All-American and All-ACC selection in 2002. He is currently fourth in school history with a 72.62 career stroke average.
Mulroy joins former Wolfpack golfers Tim Clark, Carl Pettersson and Mark Turnesa on the PGA Tour.
