Former NC State swimmer Kim Estep-Lampley was recently featured in The News & Observer by staff writer Luke DeCock. Estep-Lampley was an All-America for the Wolfpack in 1977.

RALEIGH, N.C. - At times, Kim Estep-Lampley was swimming so much faster than the competition that the pool was hers alone, although that could not be farther from the truth. Estep-Lampley is never alone, wherever she is.
On one hip sits her mother, Lourinda Estep, now 86; on her other, an unknown Florida man who died suddenly one December night in 2000.
