Smith Places Eighth in 400 Freestyle Relay

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Former NC State swimmer Erica Smith helped lead her relay to an eighth place finish in the 400 freestyle relay at the 2009 Conoco Phillips National Championships on Wednesday, July 8.
Competing as a part of the Marlins of Raleigh – Wolfpack Swim Team, Smith swam the final leg of the relay following teammates Kirsten Smith, Erika Stewart and Gabrielle Shishkoff. The foursome clocked in with a relay time of 3:59.20.
Smith will also compete individually in both the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke.
