Women's Swimming Inks McCann

RALEIGH, N.C. NC State women’s swimming and diving head coach Brooks Teal announced the singing of Christina McCann on Thursday, May 28. A native of Gig Harbor, Wash., McCann is a current senior at Gig Harbor High School.
“We are excited to have Christina join our program,” said Teal. “She is a very talented swimmer and a very tough competitor. We are excited about what she will bring to our program and we are confident that her best swimming is ahead of her.”
An honors student carrying a 3.9 GPA, McCann has been accepted into the College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at NC State.
An NCSA junior national qualifier, McCann was also a western section finalist and a member of the KING national team. She has been training under 2008 Olympic assistant coach Sean Hutchison.
