Track & Field Heads to Joe Hilton UNC Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State track and field will compete at the Joe Hilton UNC Invitational this Saturday, April 11. The meet is hosted annually in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Leading the way for the men's side will be A'tolani Akinkuotu, Jason Jones and Bobby Moldovan.
Akinkuotu is already qualified regionally for the NCAA Championships in the 100m with a time of 10.43.
Jason Jones has hit the NCAA Regional Qualifying mark twice in the shot put, including a season-best 58'03.25".
Bobby Moldovan ran a 14:10.39 in the 5,000m to qualify for regionals.
On the women's side, NC State is being led by the production from Angelina Blackmon. Blackmon has hit NCAA Regional marks in the 800m and the 1,500m, including a school record in the 800m.
Kara McKenna is regionally qualified in the 5,000m and the steeplechase.
Brittany Tinsley is also a NCAA Regional qualifier in the 5,000m.
Lawanda Henry has hit the qualifying mark twice in the shot put, and Brittany McCain has qualified for regionals for the discus so far this outdoor season.
