Hill Honored as ACC Golfer of the Month

GREENSBORO, N.C. NC State sophomore Matt Hill, from Bright’s Grove, Ontario, has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Golfer of the Month for March. Hill posted back-to-back tournament wins at the General Hackler Tournament played in Murrells Inlet, S.C., and the Schenkel E-Z-Go Tournament played in Statesboro, Ga. Hill also tied for fifth at the Hootie @ Bulls Bay Tournament played in Awendaw, S.C.

Hill finished all three tournaments under par. Of the nine rounds he played in March, seven were under par. He has now claimed four tournament wins in his first 19 career tournaments and has now tied a school record, one of only two golfers in Wolfpack history to win three tournaments in one season.

Hill is also tied for second place in school history with four career titles, only one behind current PGA Tour member Tim Clark’s five.
