Hill, Pritt Shine at NACAC Cross Country Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla. A pair of NC State freshman stood out at the fifth annual North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Cross Country Championships at Chain of Lakes Park in Orlando, Florida.
Ryan Hill, the 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Year, won the junior men’s 6k race, leading the USA Junior team to a first-place finish. Hill averaged 4:49 per mile and ran the 6k course in 17:55, six full seconds ahead of runner-up Ryan Prentice. The USA Junior men finshed with a perfect score of 12. Canada was second with a 24-point total.
Emily Pritt finished third for the USA Junior women, running the 4k course in a time of 13:18. She was easily the top finisher on the USA team, which finished second with a team score of 30, 14 points behind Canada. Molly Grabill was the USA’s No. 2 runner, finishing the course in a time of 13:35.
