Bethea Heads to Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas - Multi-event specialist Mattie Bethea will head to the 82nd Texas Relays on Wednesday and Thursday in Austin, Texas. Bethea, who was All-ACC in the pentathlon, will compete in the heptathlon at the prestigious event.
Bethea, a senior, is one of the top multi-event athletes in NC State women's track and field history, as she currently ranks in the top-10 in school history in seven events - heptathlon (2nd), 60m Hurdles (4th), high jump (4th), long jump (5th), 100m hurdles (9th), shot put (7th) and javelin (9th).
The rest of the Wolfpack women's and men's track and field teams will be in action at the Duke Invite and the Aggie Relays this weekend.
