Lawanda Henry To Compete at NCAA Championship

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State standout thrower Lawanda Henry will compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the shot put after her successful debut season for the red and white.
Henry, a redshirt-freshman from Dunn, N.C., is the school record holder in the shot put and ranks 12th-nationally in the event. She was fourth at the ACC Indoor Championships in the event, just missing All-ACC honors.
Henry did earn All-ACC honors with a second-place finish in the weight throw with another school record.
The 2009 NCAA Indoor Championships will be held Saturday and Sunday, March 13-14 at Texas A&M University.
