Henry Qualifies for NCAA Indoor Championships

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State women's track and field standout Lawanda Henry officially qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships on Monday night. Henry, a redshirt freshman from Dunn, N.C., ranks 12th nationally in the shot put and is already the school record holder in the event.

Henry is also the school record holder in the weight throw and was All-ACC in the event after finishing second at the ACC Indoor Championships. She was also fourth in the shot put at the championships.

The NCAA Indoor Championships are hosted by Texas A&M in College Station, Texas and run Friday and Saturday, March 13-14.
