Bethea Strong in Jumps at Carolina Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Mattie Bethea won the long jump and was second in the high jump as NC State competed at the Carolina Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Bethea's mark of 18'03.25 in the long jump is a season-high and she also jumped a 5'06.00" in the high jump. She also ran a 9.00 to tie a season-high in the 60m hurdles and advanced to the finals in the event.
Brittany McCain was second in the weight throw with a 55'08.50" while teammate Tiana Thorpe was seventh.
Gabrielle Daniel turned in a career-high 8.03 in the 60m dash prelims.
