Men's Golf in Action at Bank of Tennessee

JOHNSON CITY, TENN. – The nationally ranked NC State men’s golf team returned to fall action today, as the Pack completed the first round at the Bank of Tennessee @ The Ridges in Johnson City, Tenn. NC State had a rough go of it on Friday in rather poor conditions, as NC State sits in 12th place after first round action carding a nine-over (297).
The Pack came into this weekend ranked No. 9 according to Golfstat.com and No. 11 in the latest Golf World/Nike Coaches’ Poll.
Junior Matt Hill leads the way for the Pack thus far, as he finished the round at one-under (71). Hill had four birdies on the day, and was even-par on the front-nine and one-under on the back-nine.
Seniors Brad Revell and Kent Copeland each shot a round of two-over (74) on Friday. Freshman Mitchell Sutton was at six-over (78), and senior Hertzog Landman shot an 11-over (83).
Oregon State holds the team lead at two-under (286), while the Beavers’ Diego Velasquez had the top individual round at six-under (66).
