Hampton Earns Weekly ACC Honor

RALEIGH, N.C. NC State diver Austin Hampton was tabbed as the ACC men’s swimming and diving performer of the week on Tuesday, Jan. 20, as announced by the league office. Hampton won both the 3-meter and 1-meter dives against Georgia Tech this past weekend at Casey Natatorium.
A senior from St. Petersburg, Fla., Hampton hit a pair of NCAA zone qualification scores last weekend in the 1-meter and 3-meter events for the Wolfpack. He took first place on the 1-meter board with a score of 325.50 after setting both new school and pool records in the 3-meter event with a first place score of 393.60.
The NC State women will return to the pool tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Casey Natatorium against Campbell. Action begins at 5 p.m. ACC Select will provide live coverage.
