Softball Sets Date for Alumni Game

RALEIGH, N.C. The NC State softball alumni game will be held Friday, Oct. 3 at the home of Wolfpack softball, the Curtis & Jacqueline Dail Softball Stadium. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m. Nearly all of the program’s former letterwinners and graduates will be in attendance, competing against the 2009 squad on the field.
2008 marks the second year of the annual tradition, established a season ago by program founder and head coach Lisa Navas.
“This is a great opportunity for everyone to come back, socialize and look back, and get to know our new players,” said Navas. “We’re very fortunate that so many of our former players stay so involved with the program, and we certainly wouldn’t have it any other way.”
State will begin the 2009 campaign this coming February. The schedule is forthcoming.
