Jenny Keim Johansen Named Diving Coach

RALEIGH - N.C. - NC State head swimming and diving coach Brooks Teal announced the hiring of Jenny Keim Johansen as the Pack’s new diving coach on Tuesday, August 12. A two-time Olympian and former NCAA Champion, Keim Johansen comes to Raleigh after serving as the assistant diving coach at nearby Duke.
"Wolfpack swimming and diving is very excited to welcome Jenny to our program,” said Teal. “She is known throughout the diving world as one of the best and brightest up-and-coming diving coaches, bringing with her a wealth of competitive experience and success. It would be any diver's dream to be guided by someone with Jenny's drive, enthusiasm, and expertise. I am delighted to have her join our coaching staff."
Keim Johansen graduated cum laude with a B.A. in political science and a minor in criminology from Miami in 2002. While in Coral Gables she won the NCAA Championship on the three-meter board and platform in 1999 and 2000, and was a three-time All-America selection for the Hurricanes from 1998-2000.
She also represented the United States at the Olympics in both 1996 and 2000.
Prior to her tenure at Duke, Keim Johansen served as the head diving coach at Liberty University from 2005-07. She has worked with several different diving academies and camps across varying capacities for many years.
