Brock Wins Father-Daughter National Championship

Sophomore Berkeley Brock teamed with her father Adam last weekend to win the USTA National Father-Daughter Hard Court Championships in San Diego, Calif. With the victory the pair received a prestigious USTA Gold Ball. It is the second Gold Ball that the pair has won after previously winning the 2005 USTA National Father-Daughter Clay Court Championships in Jupiter, Fla.
Berkeley and Adam faced Kaley and Steve Schultz in the finals of the three-day event. Berkeley and her father defeated the duo from California in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. In the three previous matches coming into the finals the pair had not lost one set in the tournament and had only given up a total of seven games.
Adam played his collegiate tennis at the University of Virginia.
