Track & Field Heads to NCAA Regionals

The NC State men's and women's track and field team will be competing in the NCAA Regional in Tallahassee, Fla. The women have two competitors while the men will send 12 athletes to the championships. The top-5 finishers in each event will advance to the NCAA Championships, with the rest of the top-12 being eligible for an at-large berth based on their mark or time.
For the women, high jumper Mattie Bethea and long jump/triple jump DeMiracle Washington.
The men's team will have a host of athletes with times that rank nationally, including top-20 times from John Martinez, Dexter Adams and Stephen Furst. Martinez is ninth in the steeplechase, while Adam's long jump mark ranks 14th. Furst is 16th nationally in the 5,000m.
The regional championships run through the weekend at Florida State.
