Hill Named to All-Region Team

Raleigh, N.C. - Freshman Matt Hill (Bright's Grove, Ontario) has been named to the Division I PING All-Region team announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. PING All-Region teams consists of the top 15 individuals in their region in the Individual Ranking System. Additionally, any player ranked in the top 75 according to Golfstat or the Sagarin rankings not included in their region's top 15 are added to their All-Region team. Members of the PING All-Region teams are eligible for PING All-America honors.

Hill spent most of the season as the Pack's top golfer, leading the squad with a 71.4 stroke average. An All-ACC selection, Hill had the Pack's top finish at the ACC Championships with an eighth place showing. Hill's top showing on the season was a two-stroke victory at the Hootie @ Bulls Bay Invite, an event the Pack also won the team title at.
