NC State standout jumper DeMiracle Washington was third in the long jump on the opening day of competition at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga., on Friday.
The mark of 19'06.75" was just shy of her third NCAA Regional mark in the event and was the third longest of the season.
Her season-high mark of 20'05.75" - set last week - was a career-high and broke Washington's only school-record for the long jump. The mark also ranks 30th nationally.
Competition continues Saturday in Atlanta, and a split squad will also compete at the UNC Elite Meet in Chapel Hill, N.C.
