Charlottesville, Va. - The NC State men's golf team was one of the lucky teams on Saturday to complete its first round at the Cavalier Classic, but rain and then darkness allowed only 11 of the 21 teams to complete their rounds. The Wolfpack shot a 291 on the par-72, 6,879-yard Birdwood Golf Course, and currently sits in third place behind leader Virginia (282).
Brad Revell led the Pack with his one-under (70), which is currently fifth among players that finished action. Kent Copeland and Matt Hill each shot a one-over (73), while Darren Blair had a three-over (75) to round out the scoring for the Pack.
Teams that did not complete the first round will tee off early tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. on the holes they left off at, while the other teams will start final round competition at their scheduled tee times.
