No. 36 Women's Tennis Heads to ACC Championships

Coming off a Senior Day victory over No. 19 Florida State, the No. 36 women’s tennis team earned the No. 8 seed at the 2008 ACC Women’s Tennis Championships and will face No. 9 seed Wake Forest in the first round on Thursday morning. Wake Forest is ranked No. 38 in the latest ITA poll. The match will begin at 9 a.m. at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla. The winner of the match will face No. 1 seed Georgia Tech at 9 a.m. on Friday morning.
The Red and White finished the regular season with a 12-9 overall record and 5-6 in the conference. Wake Forest is 8-12 overall and 4-7 in the league.
The Pack and the Deacons met just ten days ago, with the Pack taking the 5-2 victory. In that match the Pack swept the doubles matches and won four of the six singles matches.
